What Fettle does.

Photograph a tool and Fettle identifies it, catalogues it, and remembers where it lives. It also tracks which batteries fit which tools across Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and Bosch, so the wrong pack never gets bought again.

Consumer inventory apps rarely survive contact with a real toolbox. Too many brands, too many odd shapes, and far too much typing before you have catalogued anything worth keeping.

Fettle starts with the camera. Photograph a tool and it identifies the make and model, files it, and records where it is stored. The part that earns its place is the battery matrix: cordless platforms do not interoperate, and knowing that a pack fits a drill before you are standing in the aisle is worth more than any amount of tidy metadata.

It handles the ordinary workshop admin too: what is lent to whom, what needs servicing, and where a thing was last seen.
